Innovator Series EP8: Saeed Abu-Nimeh of SecLytics

SecLytics is leading the way in utilizing predictive threat intelligence techniques to proactively block threat vectors before they become full-on attacks. We sat down for a conversation with founder Saeed Abu-Nimeh to discuss his time in the industry and what lies ahead for the security innovator.

Using Predictive Threat Intelligence To Block Vectors Proactively

With a 25-year history in the security industry, including roles as Distinguished Scientist for Paypal and Security Researcher for WebSense, Abu-Nimeh is focusing his efforts on platform-based solutions to blocking cyber threats with SecLytics.

Existing in the PDR space, that is: Prevention, Detection, and Response, SecLytics has chosen to eschew the primarily responsive security strategy used by common EDRs by scouring the Internet for data about threats, then using machine learning to build threat profiles used for early detection. Their Augur product can integrate with many existing platforms, avoiding the need to sell a complete replacement solution.

In our 14 minute conversation with Saeed, we explore his early motivations in security as well as learn what makes SecLytics a unique and innovative new player in the industry.
